Summary/Abstract: The article contains an analysis of the powers of legal counsels in Poland, referred to in Article 6 paragraph 3 of the Act of 6 July 1982 on Legal counsels, namely the power to certify copies of documents as true copies of originals produced, as set out in separate regulations. The author presents the form of currently applicable regulations on the power in question and discusses various amendments in this respect since the date of entry of the Act on legal counsels into force. The article also refers to the nature of certification of a document as a true copy by a legal counsel and points to the limits of the power in question.
