Summary/Abstract: Modern civilisation processes, which are closely interrelated with cultural and linguistic globalisation, have entered the era of the noosphere; humanity is encountering these problems at present, the solution to which requires joint efforts and a high level of knowledge about globalisation. However, for a constructive dialogue amongst all nationalities within the framework of the world community and the achievement of a "knowledge society", it is necessary to understand the functioning of a world language, the peculiarities of intercultural communication, the originality of national ideas of the world, and the ideological concepts conveyed in natural languages; thus, the language of science and of scientific thinking is of particular importance in terms of the target language.The choice of the language of science, which must fulfil all the functions assigned to it, is determined by a complex socio-political conditions; otherwise, we would have an intermediary language, a translation language, or a language of cognitive thinking. A review of the change in the languages of science in the post-Soviet space (in the example of Georgia) allows us to assert that only the harmonious development of a global language within the national languages of science can provide a multifaceted reflection of reality and the dynamism of the development of science.
