Summary/Abstract: This research, entitled „Our Ancient Christianity; The First Ecumenical Synod of Nicaea et alia”, presents several important themes from the anthology Fontes Historiae Daco-Romanae Christianitatis, published in 2008 in Iaşi. Analyzing some assertions of the publisher (N. Zugravu), the author comes to the conclusion that his intention was not to point out the diachronic reality, but to contest, at all costs, the mission of the Holy Apostles Andrew and Philip in Dobrudja, the old Scythia Minor. The present study tries to argue the historicity of this evangelization and also the presence of a bishop from Tomis (present day Constanţa) at the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325, and in the end to correct other groundless statements from the so-called „Introductory Study” which precedes the narrative sources found in Fontes.
