Summary/Abstract: There are numerous paintings that have support wooden boards – from planks or plywood that have been created with the help of using different procedures, by modifying the external structures of the wood surface, such as inlay, intarsia et al. These paintings are called wooden decorative panels. A valuable collection of such paintings from the Soviet period is in the patrimony of NMENHM (National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History of Moldova), that is why, in this paper, the most valuable wooden panels from this institution are analyzed. Here are also presented other arguments for writing an article on these objects. There are analyzed the main techniques which are used to create these objects. In this article, is indicated the inventory number, the geometric description, the author of these works, is displayed their history, the dimensions, and main symbols are deciphered.
