Summary/Abstract: In this article the author emphasized the logic of development of fantasy which in case of Bulgakov’s writings is just the reverse when compared with that of Gogol. Typological differences are emphasized also by a different attitude of those two writers to the German Romanticism, especially to E.T.A. Hoffmann.
