Summary/Abstract: Aim of investigation: examined places and roles of musical folklore in the Ukrainian radio content at the modern stage of Ukraine’s development. Novelty of the study is that, such a topic is investigated for the first time. What acquires topicality in the context of legislative consolidation of Ukrainian content’s quotation on the radio. Methodology of investigation is based on dialectical approach while considering the process of radio and folklore’s interplay, analysis and synthesis of programs in central and regional radio channels, classification of musical products in the given themes’ diapason, comparative analysis of different musical types, programs on different channels by Ukrainian radio. Conclusions: certain system of musical programs is created on state radio channels, where musical folklore and folklorism take a significant place. Similar content also exists in some programs of nongovernmental radio channels. Commercial channels take broadcasting time with Russian pop music or English popular songs which cultivate esthetic taste in listeners that is distant from national archetype feelings. However, moderate optimism exists in existing perspectives about national songs heritage’s development.
