Summary/Abstract: Based on the literature on the subject and his own observations the author has drawn the conclusion that in order to prevent secondary interference a comprehensive approach is necessary during the instruction of pronunciation. Orthophonie and orthoepic exercises should be conducted at all phonetic levels - sounds, accents, and intonation with regard to lexical and morphosyntactical areas during the mastering of particular forms of language competence.
