Summary/Abstract: The purpose of our study is to consider the essays of the famous cultural scientist, literary critic and public figure Yevhen Sverstyuk, dedicated to one of the last prisoners of the conscience of the totalitarian era Vasyl Stus, while revealing the various narrative vectors offered by the author of the essay. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to comprehend the reception of the work of Vasily Stus in the essays of the famous cultural scientist, literary critic and public figure Yevhen Sverstyuk. Research methods. The leading ones are cultural-historical, biographical, which is due to the general purpose and specificity of the material under consideration. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the study for the first time proposed new material that has not yet been the subject of scientific research. An attempt was made to conduct a comprehensive study of the essays of Yevhen Sverstyuk dedicated to Vasyl Stus against the backdrop of an era that destroyed the harmony of the individual.
