Valuation of the amount of total damage in vehicle through internet auctions

Summary/Abstract: The article refers to the problem of valuation of the amount of total damage in vehicle through Internet auctions. The Author presents the idea of Internet auction, as well as advantages and disadvantages of such expertise. The issue is considered in the context of cooperation duty between the victim and the insurer upon liquidation of the damage. The article presents the problems of probative value of the re- sults of the auction, relation between the price offered on auction to the real market value of the wreck,as well as competitiveness of the auction. The reflection leads the Author to the conclusion that the auctions are not reliable method of valuation of the car remains and that the best proof to determine the real market value is an expert opinion.
