Summary/Abstract: The current momentum of studies about the situation of women in different cultures and societies at different times is not undeniable, not surprisingly, we find a rich bibliography on the History of Women in any field of scientific specialization, from Philologists and Historians to Romanists. Precisely, from the perspective of Roman Law it is from where we intend to address a specific aspect of women in ancient Rome, in particular, we will try to perform an analysis of the legal situation occupied by daughters sub potestate in the Roman hereditary law system until the begining of the classical Roman Law period.
