Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the research is to identify genre and style markers of European piano music in the works of Chinese composers of the twentieth century as style-forming elements. The scientific novelty of the research consists in considering the style of Chinese piano music of the twentieth century in the aspect of implementing the European traditions of piano art on a national basis. This aspect did not become a special object of musicological interest represented by the research of Chinese authors. The European stylistic complex of piano works by Chinese composers is singled out as a fundamental style-forming factor. The research methodology is based on the method of musicological genre-style analysis, the main principles of the comparative method, as well as the musical-historical approach to the phenomen of musical art. Methodology allows us to identify certain elements of musical expressiveness of piano pieces by Chinese composers ("own", formed on the basis of national culture, and "foreign", originating in the European traditions of piano music), which in the artistic integrity of the musical work form an individual author's stylistic complex. Conclusions. In the piano works of Chinese composers, textural, harmonic and fret elements are found that form a stable stylistic complex of the "sound image" of the twentieth-century piano. The main of these elements are linear and toccata texture, shock-free technique, poly-fret and poly-tonal complexes. This complex is a constant in the variety of samples of piano miniatures that are widely represented in the works of Chinese composers, which is due to the basic value of European traditions of piano music for the formation of creative individuals of the authors under consideration. The original refraction of the leading stylistic trends of the European musical art of the twentieth century (The neoclassicism and neofolklorism) on the basis of national traditions of Chinese music is a leading prerequisite for the artistic integrity of the piano works of Chinese composers.
