THE DEVELOPMENT PATHS OF THE COMPOSER VLADIMIR TRMČIĆ: AN INSPIRATION FOR THE YOUNG MUSIC COMPOSERS

Summary/Abstract: Creativity, giftedness, and talent are only some of the terms that could be used to describe and define the inborn ability of an individual to master a certain field with ease. Even though the above mentioned terms could not be placed into the same category, nor could they be defined unequivocally, talent requires a variety of factors that make its development possible, apart from a certain combination of genes. Musical talent is particularly unique because it implies, among other kinds of intelli- gence, an emphasized emotional intelligence which, in the case of composers, enables recognition of one’s own, singular emotional states, and thus their rationalization. Having in mind the entire creative opus of Vladimir Trmčić (1983), his poetics, and his unique philosophical approach to searching for an “answer”, the aim of this article is primarily targeted at narrative-chronological-analytical approach to the composer’s dominant creativity stages and to key ideas which have gradually defined him as a composer of an exceptional spiritual potential and strong creative invention.
