Summary/Abstract: The article presents a portrait of the American rock star Bruce Springsteen, citing seven reasons why he should be admired. In a show performed at the Walter Kerr Theater in New York, Bruce Springsteen makes a dramatic confession about his parents, Catholicism, faith, friendship, love, fidelity, constancy, life, becoming, which are based, all of them, despite his temporary vices and collapses, his mistakes and disappointments, on the adamant power to start again, a power that has its source in the overwhelming importance of the Tradition and of the Lord’s prayer which concludes his show. Bruce Springsteen, despite a career that lasted five decades, with dozens of hits and soundtracks for famous movies, seems to remain insufficiently known in our country. The man behind the rushing rhythms, with his life, his experience, his feelings and his way of thinking lends an unexpected dimension to an atypical artist.
