Summary/Abstract: The threat to the regional and global balance of power is no longersolely caused by the increase in the power of another state, but rather by the role played bynon-state actors - international terrorist organizations, the proliferation of weapons ofmass destruction and organized cross-border crime. All of these elements are consideredthreats to national, regional and international security. In our opinion, this article is a pertinent analysis of the new threats to nationalsecurity, as well as security in the geopolitical and geostrategic area of our country.
