Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the most interesting examples of Polish lexical innovations excerpted from a socio-political magazine "Newsweek Polska". On the basis of my research, I noted 250 new words not yet included in the existing dictionaries. It proved that loanwords were the group the most important (37%); the next group consists of neologisms (26%), then we have also "false loanwords" (18%) and neosemanticisms (8%).
