Summary/Abstract: The main purpose for an execution of a custodial penalty is the isolation of the perpetrator from society in order to protect the citizens from his/her criminal activity as well as his/her inclusion in a process of preparation for social reintegration, upon release. Parole is an institution whose main purpose is to persuade persons undergoing custodial penalty to make every effort and interest in accumulating knowledge and acquiring skills necessary for release. In fact, parole is used as a good means to reduce the period of detention, the competent institutions not being able to monitor those released for a correct and good reintegration into society.
