PROBLEM OF MORPHEME FORMATION IN THE DERIVATIONAL PROCESSES WITHIN A GROUP OF ANTONYMS

Summary/Abstract: Ιn this article the author considers the formation of derivational morphemes in the process of the formation of antonyms. The author points out that when the process has a derivational character, it is generally accompanied by the formation of morphemes of specific words of the language. However, when it is reduced only to a semantic shift in the existing word, the formation of morphemes does not always occur. The author of the article tries to distinguish between the semantic shift which is accompanied by the changes of the word structure based on morphemes, and the shifts that are not connected with this structure.
