Summary/Abstract: In his article the author describes the main theoretical problems of the theory of word formation, which most of all interest contemporary Soviet linguistics. Having solved the problems of the theory of word formation Soviet linguistics put an end to traditionalism. Soviet linguists treat the theoretical problems of word formation in such a way that in can be described systematically and syncronically.
