ABOUT PHONETIC VARIANTS OF THE WORDS BORROWED FROM THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE INTO RUSSIAN

Summary/Abstract: In this article the author analizes phonetic variants of the words borrowed from English into Russian through immediate language contact. These variants are the result of the existence of different types of sound structures of the borrowings caused either by phonetic or graphic forms of words in English. They can also appear as a result borrowings of different grammatical forms of an English word or as a result of reaction of Russian phonetic system.
