Innovative teaching methods in the system of linguistic education in Ukrainian universities

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the modern paradigm of education in Ukraine and explains the need of innovative teaching methods. The author clarifies the concept of innovative methods, which include not only recently created, but also traditional ones, which acquire new qualitative features in the process of adapting to the requirements of modern education. The author also focuses on the analysis of projects, researches, as well as situational and interactive methods of language teaching. These methods are aimed at activity, autonomy, creativity, social interaction of participants in the educational process, thus can create conditions that are as close as possible to real professional situations.
