Grigore Antipa and his successors in the management of the museum that bears his name

Summary/Abstract: Grigore Antipa initiated the Romanian Hydrobiology and Ichthyology and he organized, on scientific basis, the State Fisheries. But his fame came from the organizing, on ecologi cal basis, of the National Museum of Natural History, from Bucharest, which carries his name. He enriched his museum with the dioramas imagined by him, taken afterwards like models by several worldwide museums. The greatest naturalist has fought, like no other, to highlight the richness of the his country waters, especially the ones of the Danube with her wonderful delta and the lakes from the flooding zone of the river.
