BAŠESKIJA’S FOLKLORISTIC NOTES − INTRODUCTORY CONSIDERATIONS (210 YEARS SINCE DEATH OF SARAJEVAN CHRONICLER MULA MUSTAFA BAŠESKIJA)

Summary/Abstract: This paper represents a passage through the various types of folkloristic notes present in the Ljetopis (Chronicle) by Mula Mustafa Baseskija, such as notes relating to material culture - houses, individual holdings and clothing; a transitional type such as play, performance and storytelling, through folk beliefs and superstitions, dreams and predictions even to folk medicine. The total passage through the types of folkloristic notes constituted obliging folkloristic task precisely because of extremely large number of examples, which had to undergo some sort of classification at some point.
