An overview of Romanian and Bulgarian phraseology

Summary/Abstract: Throughout the present paper, we try to give a brief overview of Romanian and Bulgarian phraseological studies. We approach not only the evolution of phraseology in these two languages, but also several arguable themes, such as terminology, idiomatic features, classification of idioms and aspects related to the delimitation of idioms from other non-idiomatic constructions. The main purpose of our article is to underline once more the interdisciplinarity of phraseology and the importance and necessity of continuing research in this field.
