Exprimarea prostiei în frazeologia română și bulgară
Expressing stupidity in Romanian and Bulgarian phraseology

Summary/Abstract: The present paper proposes the approach of several Romanian and Bulgarian idioms from a cognitive and cultural perspective. The idioms under consideration are part of our selected corpus of one hundred phrasemes expressing negative moral traits. Our article begins with a theoretical framework in which we review the main theories we operate with (such as Doborovol’skij and Piirainen’s, Sharifian’s, Ionescu’s) and continues with the actual semantic analysis of the idioms.
