Summary/Abstract: In the article the main attention is paid to the investigation of poetry with tonic structure of Romanian poet George Bacovia with the usage of versification methodology of academician M. L. Gasparov, who was the first to give the full and thorough systematically of the main forms of modern tonic versification – dolnik, taktovic and accent verse. His methods are based on taking into account the number of stresses and the number of unstressed syllables in a line. It is by means of the number of the range and succession of inter-ictus intervals that the academician worked out the systematically of rhythmic forms of dolnik and taktovik, which is now generally recognized. On the basis of verse study methodology of M. L. Gasparov the rhythmic palette of George Baсovia has been investigated and the characteristic of his versification has been stated. It is shown that his tonic works are built mostly on the basis of mixing of classic meters with different kinds of tonic forms. Among tonic structures dolnik rhythms prevail. Dolniks become simultaneously as transitional metric form between syllabo-tonic and tonic versification and as one of the initial forms of tonic verse. Taktovik is less used meter, it is mostly part of polymorphic structure on the level of micropolymetrics or is directed towards pure tonic.
