Summary/Abstract: We aim here at dealing with the topic of human time, by inscribing it into the wake of Emmanuel Levinas’ philosophy. Which philosophy turns the relationship with the other, that is to say the experience of exteriority , into its starting as well as its end point. Which philosophy also turns the passion for the infinity, that is to say the metaphysical passion of going towards the absolute, towards God, into a place of ethical responsibility towards the other. Our purpose in the present analysis is to consider – in a programmatic and summary perspective – the relationship with the other as a physical presence in-the-world (overly inscribed in the world), by submitting it to the logic of time as a structure which, here, opens towards the desire of infinity.
