The Use of Polysemy in Expressing Emotions as Experiences Conveyed Verbally in German and Polish

Summary/Abstract: The present article discusses polysemy as a way of expressing negatively connoted emotional states in German and Polish. Our attention is focused on linguistic structures, on a specific part of speech, i.e. on those verbs which express a particular kind of verbal interaction, i.e. the emotional state of the speaker is only manifested, as a result of which the reception of their utterance may cause particular difficulties for language learners.
