Immigration and immigrants integration in the present international context

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a current issue in the European Union, the immigrants and their integration into the community, while respecting human rights. Traumas suffered by civilians after military conflicts irreparably marks their evolution. Public policy instruments adopted by the authorities should allow immigrants to participate actively in community life, to promote their rights and combat discrimination and, on the other hand, immigrants must accept and respect the identity and values of the EU and of the host states.
