Linguistic Landscape of the Multicultural Timişoara

Summary/Abstract: The article approaches the multicultural city from an interdisciplinary perspective. This includes the study of the mapping of linguistic landscape of the present day Timişoara, completed with study of the city based on semiotics. The research focuses on the following questions: How does the linguistic landscape of the city reflect the often promulgated multicultural aspect of the settlement? The works of Erika Tódor, Szilvia Szoták and Sára Magyari are used as a theoretical framework.
