Summary/Abstract: The article is about General Doctor Pilot Victor Anastasiu (1886–1972), the founder of Romanian aeronautics medicine. He was the first person who made research on per sonnel during flight. He was the first doctor from Romania who obtained a licence as pilot (1916) and the second in the world. He participated at the Second Balkan War and the First World War as pilot and as doctor. His studies were presented at inter national congresses. He had a beautiful military career, he was appreciated both in our country and abroad and this article by the documents found in the Romanian Military Archives stand as testimony.
