Importance of Comparative Materials for Forensic Identification of the Writer

Summary/Abstract: The authors of the present article discuss the importance of comparison material for forensic handwriting examining. The comparative material must be of a certain quality also quantity, as it is a source of characters for individualizing the writer as well as for excluding it. Emphasis is placed on proper execution of the examination writing as one of two forms of comparative material. The quality of the comparative material is crucial to the examination of the handwriting.
