Summary/Abstract: XIX century in the Turkish World starting from the of the century and the XX the Reform movement, which started at the begining of the century, also played an important role in the devolopment of many intelligentsia in Azerbaijan. Especially after the Manifesto of 1905, Azerbaijani intellectuals began to create national romanticism. Among the first representatives of national romanticism in Azerbaijani literatüre were such figures as Abdulhalik Cenneti, Abbas Sahhat, Abdullah Shaik, Hussein Javid, Ali Abbas Muznib, Jafar Jabbarlı. XX. Ahmet Javad is one of the poets who created national romanticisim in Azerbaijani literatüre at the beginnig of the century. In the poet’s literary activity, national ideas have always been at the forefront, especially the political and social development in Azerbaijan and the Ottoman Empire habe been evaluated in terms of Turkish nationalism. Poems about the flag an important role in Ahmet Javad’s literary activities. The poet wrote poems about the flag were adopted in theDemocratic Republic of Azerbaijan which was established in 1918. Poems on this subject include “Azerbaycan Bayrağına”, “Elin Bayrağına” and “Al Bayrağa”.
