Summary/Abstract: Set phrases with „hand” and „eyes” are analysed in the present article. The main topic of the article is to research and compare German and Turkish languages which belong to different language families. The hypothesis shows there are more similarities than differences in the usage. The conclusion is that over half of the set phraes within the two languages are equivalent pairs which can be comparable both in semantic and structural respect.
