Summary/Abstract: The paper -Polish and Russian in Đorđe Lebović and Aleksandar Obrenović Drama ("Heavenly Squad") and (Kinship-In-Arms) by Borislav Pekić puts in its focus two Slavic people, who although related, of similar languages and origins, stand opposite each other, through the centuries as rivals and opponents, Rzecz Pospolita and tsarist Russian, Poland Pilsudski and Stalin's Soviet Alliance, not only as numerically large nations whose elites nurtured imperial pretensions already as representatives of conflicting religions, Catholic and Orthodox, civilization circles, Central and Eastern European. The characteristics of dramatic heroes in this paper are divided into appearance elements: language, clothing, physical characteristics, and the concept of character and characterization. The essence of the analyzed plays is contrary to the expectations of readers who would, based on positive and negative stereotypes, how a person, of Polish, or Russian origin, would behave. Namely, all persons from the analyyed dramas participate or participated in the Second World War which left a heavy trace on their psyche and state of health. In collision with mortality, fear, hunger, exhaustion, their class, ethnic characteristics become irrelevant and their tragic destinies become universal, unrelated to their origin.
