Summary/Abstract: Nowadays attitudes towards vocational training are rapidly changing in Lithuania. Lithuanian economy and changing market demands raise increasing requirements for a person as a specialist and a person. The results of the research analysing employers’ attitudes towards preparedness of Šiauliai College graduates for professional activities are presented in the paper. The aim of employers’ survey was to find out which qualities of young people working for their companies are considered to be main and how Šiauliai College graduates’ preparedness for professional activities are assessed. Employers’ opinions were identified in relation to the main research questions: What are the requirements for graduates so that they could successfully compete in the labour market? What means can improve Šiauliai College graduates’ preparedness for the modern labour market? The research respondents were the employers of medium-sized companies and organisations in Šiauliai.
