Genological traps for slavs from the east (on the basis of written works on certificate examinations in polish from 2019, B1 level)

Summary/Abstract: There are tasks on the state certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign language, included in examination papers in the part: Writing, aiming at checking of the skill of foreigners to properly formulate texts representing certain popular Polish pragmatic genres. The authors provide a survey of written utterances from 2019 in terms of their genological correctness, mainly in the structural aspect. They analyzed texts were written by persons of East Slavic origin, since Slavs from the East constitute a considerate majority of candidates taking the Polish state certificate examination. Due to the same reason, the analyses focused on examination sheets from B1 level – this level is the most popular with the foreigners. Making a list of errors may be useful in the Polish language teaching in classes dedicated to development of the skill of writing.
