Homage to Professor Dimitrie Brândză (1846–1895) – 120 Years since His Death

Summary/Abstract: The great personalities, who affirmed themselves in a certain field of science, are immortal. In this paper we pay tribute to Professor Dimitrie Brândză, Romanian physician and natural ist, after 120 years since his death. D. Brândză is mentioned in scientific literature as „an unique figure in the direction of botanical research in Romania”[7].With studies at Sorbonne, Bachelor of Natural Sciences (1866), medi cal studies in Paris, PhD in 1869, D. Brandza created a botanical Romanian school, together with Dimitrie Grecescu.
