Eine Raummetapher der ungarndeutschen Literatur

Summary/Abstract: The aim of my paper is to examine an exemplary metaphor in the Hungarian German literature that experiences of the Hungarian German minority(among them, for example: settlement in the 18th century, expulsion in the 20thcentury, discrimination) spatially structures and conveys: the metaphor of the container. I will be analyzing the container metaphor using instruments of discourse semantic and cognitive-semantic approaches and I will also intend to address the connection capacities of these approaches. My aim is also to attempt to show how this dominant spatial metaphor of the Hungarian German literature has established itself and what has led to its modification, uncertainty or replacement. I also investigate the extent to which this metaphor could and can contribute to orientation in its social context.
