Summary/Abstract: This article is a synthesis of the evolution of modern tapestry since the end of XIX century till the middle of XX century, exemplified through representations of contemporaneous embroidery and textile collage, along portrayal of personal examples which are part of these categories of textile arts. A concise analysis of a collection of textile pieces of work has same significance and is prerequisite to typify the diversity of used techniques and the personal manner.
