Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to build a descriptive framework regarding the perception on attending online courses, both for social development and for improving parent-child and teacher-student relationships, in the current Romanian social context. The fast-paced learning and development of modern society and the limited time more and more adults dedicate to strengthening their own personality have strong effects on their path to social integration and communication. Adults’ perception on the reasons behind attending such online courses influences their day-to-day activities, the time they dedicate to an online course, the course topic they choose etc. All of these are to be analysed throughout the present research. The continuous development of social and professional skills is what will ensure a successful integration and an efficient performance within the personal and professional space. The research method used for this study was the questionnaire-based survey, which included items with a Likert response-scale, as well as items with open-ended questions. The study included 270 subjects: students, teachers and parents, coming from various areas of the country. The results obtained after applying the questionnaire were processed and interpreted in SPSS. The conclusions of the study reflect a general perception strongly influenced by the current digital context and a high level of interest for socio-professional development.
