Summary/Abstract: The article outlines some data of the axiological definition of the modern design objects, subsequently, of visionary design, referring to some international industrial design competitions at main interest to this research. By highlighting some outstanding performances of the students of the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timişoara featured in competitions of important importance at international level the appreciative perception of this design school is therefore reinforced. This fact has been proven over the past few years and it is reconfirmed by the latest achievements. By referring to the visionary concepts presented at these prestigious events, we might expect some distant design predictions or certain trends of industrial products. This facilitates the developing of new, original and innovative products in the near future.
