Summary/Abstract: The current coronavirus pandemic has affected both the language of the ordinary communication as well as the language of the media. In this paper, we analyze coronavirus vocabulary in Slovak. We present word-formation terms associated with the term corona(virus) and other terms content-related to the pandemic. We divide them into medical, economic, and ordinary. In terms of frequency, we distinguish between existing, but still marginal, and newly created ones. In terms of expressiveness, we separate the figurative ones. Expressions containing the word-forming part of the "corona" are compound or one-word. We especially note the new noun of the corona and the non-Slovak intransitive appropriation using this noun.
