Summary/Abstract: Acad. Gh. Marinescu collaborated with a pleiad of international and Romanian specialists in varied domains of science and technique, amongst which prestigious personalities of the veterinarian medicine of Romania: Acad. Prof. Ioan Athanasiu (1868–1926), one of the initiators of the electromyographic and electrophotographic researches dedicated to the problem of neuromuscular energy, and the plethysmographic, galvanometric and erogographical researches in myasthenia, the ones concerning the alteration of the muscular tonus in Parkinson disease, all these investigations being made together with Acad. Gh. Marinescu. In 1906, I. Athanasiu contributed, together with I. Cantacuzino, to the establishment of the “Biological Gatherings” (later The Biology Society) in Bucharest. Acad. Prof. Radu I. Vlădescu (1886–1964), whose biochemical researches concerning the muscular contraction were especially apreciated by savants I. Athanasiu and Gh. Marinescu, that referred to his work when writing the paper concerning the nature of the forces that act upon the muscles in Parkinson’s disease. Prof. Paul Riegler (1867–1936), that starting with 1895 until 1910 worked in the Department of Study of Infectious Diseases of Animals in The Pathology and Bacteriology Institute founded and directed by Prof. Victor Babeș. And as the Vice-president and then President of the Biology Society, as Vice-president in the Medical Academy, in the Romanian Royal Society of Medicine History, he collaborated both with human medical doctors and with biologists. Also, it is worth mentioning the collaboration with specialists of veterinary epidemiology, 1 Prof. univ. dr., Facultatea de Medicină Veterinară din București; membru asociat al Diviziei de Istoria Ştiintei a CRIFST al Academiei Române. Dumitru CURCĂ 194 | especially with Prof. Constantin Motaș (1869–1931) and Acad. Prof. Alexandru Ciucă (1880–1972), but also the collaboration with specialists in animal husbandry, in animal genetics and experimental, especially with: Prof. Constantin N. Vasilescu (1854–1902), Prof. G. K. Constantinescu (1888–1950), Acad. Prof. Nicolae Teodoreanu (1885–1977). The collaboration in the Medicine Academy especially with: Acad. Prof. Alexandru Ciucă (1880–1972), Acad. Prof. Gheorghe Udrischi (1867–1958), Prof. Ion Poenaru (1868–1939), Prof. Grigore Slavu (1879–1960).
