Summary/Abstract: One month after the popular revolt in Romania, the editorial board of the critical weekly journal 22 introduced into its first edition a public discussion of the constitution of civil society in Romania. 22 commemorates December 22, 1989, the day of the Ceausescus' flight from Romania's capital , as well as of the birth of the Group for Social Dialogue which predominately authors 22.
