Summary/Abstract: Money spontaneously appeared on a certain stage of the society development, as a natural consequence of the exchange relations. The introduction of this new standard has led to the development of a specific terminology, somewhat unitary in relation to a certain historical space and time, and later popularly reflected in various denominations, expressions or statements which represent so many ways of expressing the Romanian mind (and imagination), relative to this matter.
