Summary/Abstract: George Chandos Bidwell was the Head of the British Council between 1946 and1949. After he had met the love of his life, Anna Wirszyłło a supposed UB-agent, he decided tochange his nationality to Polish. The aim of the article is to plasticize the matter of the internalchange in Bidwell in the view of historical events described in the documents archived in TNAin Kew, London.
