Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to prove the importance of introducing specialised and non-specialised (general language-related) vocabulary during classes on specialised Russian-Polish and Polish-Russian translation. This assumption is illustrated with a number of examples of labour market-related vocabulary that may be challenging as regards semantics, grammar and the use of general language. The proper presentation of vocabulary in a given branch makes it possible not only to broaden students’ terminological knowledge, but also to raise their awareness of potential translational problems.
