Professor Constantin Pârvu at the age of 80

Summary/Abstract: Professor Pârvu Constantin is a scientist concerned with Botanics, Phytotherapy, Ecology and natural environment. He was born on 23 December 1932, in Bertea, Prahova district. After receiving his PhD scientific title in Biology, he scheduled the research of nature after own plan. In this matter of view he refused any leading position, he was interested to have enough time for research and writing books. The research fields he approached were: 1. Etnobotanical researches, 2. Etnotherapeutic researches, both carried out along whole country, for 40 years 3. Phenological researches regarding plants and 4. Complex ecological researches regarding the turbo-sfacnicol basins from Carpathians and SubCarpathians of curvature and other ecosystems, carried out for 22 years. As appreciation of his scientific activities he was honored with 14 Diploma, medals and other documents.
