Summary/Abstract: In a brief text, the author focused on the normative regulation of the institute of provincial and diocesan synod in the legatine statutes of Philip of Fermo promulgated in Buda in 1279. In the Buda Statutes, great attention is paid to compulsory participation in the synod. The legislator also described the clerical attire proper to attend the synod and formulated the demand for virtuous demeanour on the way to the synod. Regulation of sacramental provision of the sick before leaving for the synod is unique. In addition to the general provisions, we see the effort to use the diocesan synod to enforce and promote the collection for the needs of the activities of the Holy See in the Holy Land.
