Hydrographic Terms for Waterfalls and Places of Merging of Waters in the Microhydronymy of Western Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: The study deals with microtoponyms from Western Bulgaria having a hydrographic term as a component, with a focus on words for waterfalls and places of merging of waters. The analysis is based on the etymological and the areal method, as well as on information about the importance of the hydrographic terms under study, their geographical distribution and their reflection in the microtoponymy of Western Bulgaria.
